Web6 Aug 2013 · If your TeraStation's drives are in a redundant RAID mode, and you have a hot spare enabled, a malfunctioning drive in the array is replaced by the spare disk and the RAID array is rebuilt automatically. The status LED will continue to glow red for the failed drive even after the RAID array is rebuilt with the hot spare. WebAll went fine and the NAS picks up the 6Tb drives but the problem comes when I attempt to create a RAID5 array using al 4 disks, the array seems to get created but then fails to load. If I create the array with just 3 disks then the array gets created and loaded fine, Same is true for RAID 0 with 3 disks, 2 works fine.
